Content [Job Description] Full-time research assistant wanted to engage in computational modelling of cerebral blood flow and metabolism, and also to support the wider computational work of Prof. Stephen Payne and his research group:
1. Engaging in original research relating to the computational modelling of cerebral blood flow and metabolism;
2. Writing papers for publication and presenting work at conferences;
3. Assisting in supervising research students as appropriate;
4. Supporting the IT requirements of the research group through the maintenance of both hardware and software;
5. Ordering computer equipment with the group’s PA;
6. Providing advice about future IT needs;
7. Maintaining the group’s website in conjunction with the group’s PA;
8. Liaising with the IT staff in both the IAM and the wider university;
9. Other routine duties that arise from time to time.

[Job Experiences Required]
1. Experience of performing original research;
2. Experience of publishing original research in journal/conference papers;
3. Experience of maintenance of IT systems.

[Requirements]
1. A high standard of English language skills, both written and oral.
2. At least a master’s degree in a subject related to the work of the group.
3. Previous experience in original research in the area of brain haemodynamics or another closely related area.

[Location] National Taiwan University Institute of Applied Mechanics.

[Working hours] 9:00 to 18:00

[Salary Range] According to National Taiwan University’s chart for the full-time personal assistant, and the University’s other relevant rules. (Bonus can be given according to performance.)
