Content	Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students, Regarding the recent social engineering phishing emails impersonating the "Computer and Information Networking Center （CINC）" or "System Administrators," CINC has implemented additional defensive and control measures. However, cyberattack tactics are constantly evolving, and we urge everyone to remain highly vigilant. Hackers frequently use deceptive messages such as "Account Expiring Soon," "System Upgrade Confirmation," or "Mailbox Full" to trick users into clicking links and entering their university credentials, which are then exploited to launch further attacks. To protect your information security, CINC would like to remind you of the following key principles once again: CINC will NEVER ask you to log into external websites: CINC will never send emails asking you to "reply with your password," "click a link to verify your account," or enter your credentials on websites outside the official university domain. Beware of threatening language: CINC will never use coercive language, such as "your account will be deleted immediately if you do not comply," to demand your personal information. Do NOT click links； verify independently: If you receive a suspicious email, do not click any links inside. Please open a browser, manually type in the address, and check the "Latest News" section on the official CINC website to verify if an official notice has been issued. Actions if you accidentally enter your password: If you inadvertently enter your password on a suspicious website, please change your password immediately on the official university portal and contact CINC as soon as possible. Analysis of Phishing and Scam Tactics: www[.]cc.ntu.edu.tw/mailtips/index[.]html [Security Countermeasures] Maintained Outgoing Rate Limits: To prevent compromised accounts from sending bulk spam again, the temporary limit on outgoing emails per minute per mailbox remains in effect. This measure does not affect normal daily email correspondence. If you need to send bulk emails for official business or academic purposes, please contact CINC for assistance.
