Position title: Full-time Research Assistant
Job Description: - Conduct research on nanoscale mineralogy and geochemistry in various contaminated environments. - Perform laboratory operations and assist with experiments and data analysis using electron microscopy, X-ray analysis, ion probe analysis, and spectroscopic techniques. - Assist with laboratory management and maintenance - Other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Geosciences-related and Environmental Sciences related fields preferred. - Fluency in Chinese and a working knowledge in English. Basic English proficiency for daily conversation and correspondence. - Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office software - Able to take responsibility and to act proactively.
Salary: - Salary will be commensurate with National Taiwan Universitys pay scale for full-time research assistants. Starting monthly salary is NT$36,300 for Bachelor’s degree holders and NT$41,500 for Master’s degree holders. - Relevant professional experience outside the university may be considered for salary calculation. Benefits: - Labor insurance, health insurance, and labor pension - Year-end bonus (1.5 months of salary, prorated based on months of service, applicable to those employed as of December) - Flexible working hours and the opportunity to qualify for a future career in science.
