In response to the evolving academic environment and the availability of free alternative tools, the institutional EndNote site license will be discontinued effective November 1, 2026. 【Scope of Service Termination】 The following services under the university’s EndNote license will no longer be available starting November 1, 2026: ▪️Software download, installation, and activation. ▪️Applications for standalone license product keys. ▪️Software update and upgrade services. ▪️Access to EndNote Web features 【Personal Data Backup】 After the license expires, the standalone application functions will be disabled. Please note the following impact and required actions: Important Deadline: Please back up or export your personal EndNote Library （including references and attached PDF files） ⚠️⚠️before October 31, 2026⚠️⚠️ Version Impact: ▪️Desktop Application: If your library contains more than 10 references, functions such as adding, editing, exporting, and inserting citations （Cite While You Write） will be disabled. ▪️Cloud Account: EndNote Web will no longer be available. ▪️Recommended Action: Users are strongly advised to back up their references and related files as early as possible and migrate to other tools. 【Other Reference Management Software】 ▪️Zotero Free and open-source software that supports cloud synchronization and cross-platform use.
