Content To All Faculty and Staff:

Microsoft has recently disclosed a critical security vulnerability (CVE-2026-42897) within the Exchange mail system, which could allow hackers to launch cyber spoofing attacks via malicious emails. To block the attack path, our system has automatically and urgently applied the "URL Rewrite Mitigation Rule." However, the application of this security defense has resulted in several known issues, including:

-OWA (Outlook on the Web) Calendar Printing Functionality: The print calendar feature might not work properly.
-Inline Images: Inline images may fail to display correctly in the recipients OWA reading pane.
-OWA Light Mode: The light version of OWA is currently unable to function normally.
-Published Calendars: Published calendars might fail to load and return an "Error 500."

The Computer and Information Networking Center is closely tracking this matter and is awaiting the official security patch from Microsoft. Once the solution is provided, we will prioritize system remediation to restore full functionality as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
