Title Research Assistant Opening | School of Political Science and Economics

Content Supervisor: Prof. Francesco Cenerini (School of Political Science & Economics)
Workload: 10 hours per week (max. 40 hours per month)
Compensation: NT$10,000 per month (fixed)
Work Mode: Primarily remote, in-person meetings, depending on tasks

Duties:
-Assist with research projects (primary duty)
-Handle basic accounting and reimbursement tasks
-Support administrative duties
-Other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:
-Strong English reading and writing skills for research tasks
-Chinese language: ability to use NTU’s accounting system ( https://www.ntuacc.ntu.edu.tw/web/et/et_in.jsp?dmno=DM1739239004246&dmsubno=DM1739857174473 Chinese-language interface) and communicate with accounting staff in Chinese (if you dont have this skill but feel up to the challenge, feel free to apply)
-R and LaTeX/Overleaf knowledge strongly preferred; any coding abilities help
-Reliable, independent,

Notes:
-The position is open to any NTU student, but preference will be given to SPE students
-If youre thinking of pursuing a PhD in the future, this is the type of position where youll understand whether its the right choice.
-Research will mostly focus on applied microeconomics, environmental economics, and development economics.
