The Institute of Biochemical Sciences (IBS) at National Taiwan University (NTU), renowned for its balanced excellence in teaching and research, is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Director. The successful candidate will also be appointed as a full-time professor at NTU. Applications and nominations are welcome from accomplished scholars, both domestic and international, who possess strong leadership potential and academic vision.
The Director will be responsible for leading and managing the administrative, teaching, and research affairs of the Institute, as well as formulating strategic plans to advance its academic mission. In addition to administrative duties, the appointee will actively participate in teaching and research as a full professor, contributing to the training of future leaders in biochemical sciences.
Candidates must hold a professorial appointment (Professor or be qualified for one) at a domestic or international academic institution and have a distinguished record of research achievements and international recognition in biochemistry or related disciplines. Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership and teaching experience, administrative capabilities, and a global perspective. Candidates not currently appointed as NTU professors must undergo the university’s standard review and be approved for a professorship before assuming the role of Director. The appointment will commence on August 1, 2026.
