Course description：
This course is designed to introduce NTU students to university-level English writing. We will begin by learning four bases of essay development including unity, support, coherence and sentence integrity and turn to three major features of academic writing with a focus on punctuation, mechanics and basic documentation style. Students will have a chance to apply the writing skills they have learned through several in-class discussions, four exercises and two quizzes. Students are expected to attend diligently and passionately and to show commitment to course assignments and class discussions.
