演講主題： 綠色革命與野生技術:冷戰、台灣農技團和越南共和國的基層現代主義發展
Green Revolution and Technologizing in the Wild: Cold war, Taiwan Agricultural Technical Mission and the Low Modernism Development in Republic of Vietnam

摘要：
在已有的越戰研究傳統中，普遍聚焦於美國在南越投入了50 萬大軍，再加上 10 萬盟軍，耗費了數千億美金，為什麼仍深陷泥淖之中，最終以「失 敗」 收場? 對於短暫存在的越南共和國（1955-1975） 的研究，很少與「成功」相關，但是在農業發展方面似乎是個例外。冷戰時期的綠色革命，為南越農村帶來了前所未有的物質改善，農民將高產稻米 IR8 稱為奇蹟米，或暱稱為「Honda Rice」，象徵了越南共和國少數大家認可的成就之一。在這個「成功」的故事中，台灣農技團相較於美國或南越的農業專家，曾發揮更關鍵性的作用。此外，越南農民對農技團帶來之新技術的回應與修改更是不可低估的重要因素。到底是什麼樣因素的接合和機遇，讓台灣農技團的農業專家與南越農民的互動成就了南越的綠色革命？
