Bioinformatics - Taiwan International Graduate Program （TIGP-BIO） will host Admissions Information Sessions via Google Meet on January 21st, at 2:00 PM （GMT+8）. The sessions will be conducted in English.
The TIGP Program on Bioinformatics （BP） is a joint-degree program sponsored by Academia Sinica and three top universities in Taiwan—National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, National Tsing Hua University, and National Taiwan University. It is the only Ph.D. program taught entirely in English among bioinformatics-related institutes in Taiwan, cultivating cross-field senior academic research experts and encouraging scientific academic research across the three major fields of information science, statistical science, and life science.
TIGP-Bio degree program recruits core faculty from 12 research institutes from the three partner universities and Academia Sinica, including the Division of Life Sciences （Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biodiversity, Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant and Microbial Biology, and Biological Chemistry） and the Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences （Information Science, Information Technology Innovation, Statistical Science, Chemistry, and Applied Sciences）, with strong interdisciplinary characteristics, we combine the research expertise and resources of elite faculty from each partner university and Academia Sinica, and create academic resources that cannot be provided by any single university department.
