Content Opening of a Faculty Position in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan

A faculty position in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, National Taiwan University is available at the level of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, or PROFESSOR, beginning from August 1, 2020. The areas of interest include: Plant bacteriology, Plant-microbe interaction, Development and application of agricultural microorganism, or Integrated pest management (IPM).

The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the teaching mission, to conduct research, and to participate in the departmental service.

Applicant should have a Ph.D., and post-doctoral related teaching and research experience is preferred.

To apply, please send a cover letter indicating the position level to apply, the title of the designated representative publication, and two references. Five hard copies of the following documents are also required to send to the address shown below:
(1) curriculum vitae,
(2) a photocopy of Ph.D. diploma or a certificate of the Ph.D. degree,
(3) a publication list,
(4) teaching plans (courses and syllabi),
(5) research proposals,
(6) the designated representative publication published in an SCI journal as the first or corresponding author after August 1, 2015,
(7) hard copies of no more than 10 publications published after August 1, 2013.

Two recommendation letters should be sent directly to the address shown below or by e-mail (thhung@ntu.edu.tw). To apply for the level of “Assistant Professor”, it is required that one recommendation letter is provided by the Ph.D. dissertation advisor.

If a Ph.D. dissertation is designated as a representative publication for the application of the level of “Assistant Professor”, official transcripts for both undergraduate and graduate studies should be enclosed as well.
