The Department of Bio-Industrial Mechatronics Engineering, College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University, invites applications for a full time faculty position at the level of assistant professor or higher (please specify the rank you apply for) with specialty of Bioprocess/Automation Engineering or Food Engineering. The position is expected to begin on August 1, 2019.
An applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in a field related to Engineering with research specialty in Bioprocess Engineering, Automation Engineering or Food Engineering. Applicants with capability to teach the course on “Bioprocess Engineering”, “Automatic Control” or “Unit Operations in Bio-industry” are preferable. All qualified candidates are invited to apply. Applications from non-native applicants are also encouraged. Applicants must submit the following documents:
Curriculum vitae and bibliography (includes copy of certificates of academic degree, academic achievement, honors and other information which might be helpful to assess the applicant’s qualification) List of publications no earlier than August 1, 2012 (Please mark with ‘SCI’ to indicate if the article is published in an SCI Journal listed in Journal Citation Report (JCR)). Applicants should assign one publication no earlier than August 1, 2014 as a representative paper for outside review. The paper should be published in an SCI Journal issued no earlier than August 1, 2014 (Doctoral dissertation no earlier than August 1, 2016 can be considered as a representative research work if applying for assistant professorship). Research proposal and teaching plan. Two confidential letters of recommendation in sealed and signed envelopes. (The letters can also be send by the referee to Professor Lin-Chi Chen via email.)
